Georgia business license (occupation tax) calculator

Last updated · 17 sources

Pick a city or county, enter your gross receipts and employees, and get an estimate built only from that place's published numbers. 17 of 41 places publish enough to compute; for the rest we show what's published and link the source.

How the estimate works

Georgia cities and counties each pick one way to figure the occupation tax: gross receipts times a class rate, a receipts bracket, the number of employees, or a mix. The calculator follows each place's own method and uses the lowest business class it publishes, plus its administrative fee.

It doesn't apply higher classes, deductions, partial-year proration, licensed-professional flat fees or late penalties. Where a place doesn't publish enough to compute a number, it says so instead of guessing. Always confirm with the city or county before you pay.

See every place side by side on the Georgia business license costs page.
